What wood should I use to smoke queso?

I recommend, hickory, oak or mesquite. I really like Pit Boss Freedom Blend. I smoked this queso on my Pit Boss 820.

How to make queso on the pellet grill

Brown breakfast sausage in skillet, drain grease. Cube Velvetta I only use about 3/4 of block. Cube Pepper Jack cheese as well. Add all other ingredients into an aluminum disposable foil pan and place on your smoker at 225 degrees for approx. 2 hours, stirring occasionally until all ingredients combine. Feel free to spice it up by adding freshly diced jalapenos and few shakes of your favorite BBQ rub. I added some Meat Church Holy Voodoo rub to mine. Use what you like.

How long to smoke queso dip?

Smoke for approximately 2 hours, stirring about every 30 minutes.

Serving and Enjoying:

Once your smoked queso dip is ready, serve it hot with an array of dipping options. Tortilla chips, fresh veggies, pretzel bites, crusty bread, or pork rinds for low carb, are all excellent choices.
